43586 out of 61737 COVID-19 case in Assam discharged, Death toll 151

August 11, 2020 : Of the total 61737 COVID-19 case in Assam, 43586 have already been discharged while 151 have succumbed to the infection.
According to Assam Health Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, as many as 1261 COVID-19 Patients were discharged on August 10 after they tested negative.
This left 17997 still in Active Case as at 10:40 PM of August 10.
The state has witnessed 2900 fresh case and six more death on August 10.
Updating report about the new case, the minister tweet at 10:20 PM on August 10, “Alert ~ 2900 COVID cases detected out of 60425 tests in last 24 hrs. Positivity rate- 4.79%. Kamrup (M)- 382, Kamrup (R)- 294, Dibrugarh- 250, Nagaon – 200. Total cases 61737, Recovered 42325. Active cases 19258. Deaths 151”.
Earlier at 8.17 PM on August 10, Dr. Sarma informed about the death cases. He said, “Six more COVID patients succumbed to their infections~ Late Sanjib Kumar Bhuyan (52) of S’pur; Late Subir Kumar Das (70) of K’ganj; Late Salil Choudhury (58) of D’garh; Late Kali Santosh Bhattacharjee (68), Late Chandan Mahanta (26) & Late Ashok K Choudhury (65) of Kamrup M.”
It was at 10:40 PM on August 10, the minister updated his ‘Discharge Alert’.
“1261patients discharged today.
My best wishes to all the recovered patients & their families. Stay healthy & blessed. Total Discharged Patients: 43586. Active Patients: 17997″, he said.
