757 discharged, 6 died of COVID19 in Assam on July 14

July 14, 2020 : As many as 757 COVID-19 patients were discharged in Assam after they have recovered, while 6 (six) have died of their ailment .

In his Discharge Alert at 9:45 PM on July 14, Assam Health Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma said, “757 patients discharged today in Assam. May God bless you all with good health & long life. Take care of yourself! Total Discharged Patients – 12173. Active Patients – 5585.”

Earlier at 9:43 PM, Dr.Sarma said, “We lost Ms Sneha Mall (36), Sri Litu Kumar Bora (37), Sri Sarat Ch Saharia (60), Sri Upendra Nath (62), Sri Pramod Ranjan Saha (73) & Sri Subhakaran Dudheria (73) today. They succumbed to COVID19 as per Death Audit Board report.  My prayers, and condolences to the families.”

Mention may be made here that As many as 1,001 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in Assam on Juy 13 (Monday), taking the total number of coronavirus cases in the state to 17,807.

Assam Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Monday night informed that the state has registered 1,001 COVID-19 positive cases on the day.

Out of the 1,001 cases, 513 were detected from Guwahati.

Informing the news at 11:50 PM on July 13, Assam Health Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma said in a tweet, “Alert ~ 1001 new COVID19 ve+ patients in Assam, 513 in Guwahati alone. Keep patience & take required precautions. Don’t panic, for this too shall pass! Total cases 17807 .Recovered 11416. Active cases 6348.Deaths 40.”

Four more COVID-19 positive patients died in the State on Monday. While 522 patients were discharged from various hospitals across the state on Monday.

According to data released by Assam Health Minister on Monday night, 17,807 COVID-19 cases have been reported in Assam. Out of which, 11,416 patients have recovered, while 40 patients passed away and three patients migrated.

The total number of active cases in the state now stands at 6,348.

Over 5.63 lakh COVID-19 tests have been conducted in the state so far.

Earlier in the day, Himanta Biswa Sarma and MoS State Pijush Hazarika held a review meeting with the officials of the Health Department and District Administration on containment measures as well as strategize the future course of action to deal with the ongoing situation of COVID-19.

The Health Minister also held a meeting with Principal, Superintendent and doctors of Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) to discuss the measures being taken for the treatment of COVID-19 patients.
