HS exam 2020 Results announced today, Utpalraj Kemprai secured 9th Rank in Science

June 25, 2020 : The Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) announced the results of Higher Secondary (HS) Examination 2020 today, on June 25 at 9 am. One Dima Hasao boy, Utpalraj Kemprai secured 9th rank in All Assam in Science stream, who study in Ramanujan Jr. College, Nagaon.

Arts Stream:

A total of 168,367 had appeared in the Arts stream of which 19,850 secured first division. The Arts stream recorded an overall pass percentage of 78.28%.

Pubali Deka of Patharighat HS School, Darrang and Shraddha Borgohain of Ramanujan Junior College, Nagaon are the joint first rank holder in Arts stream. Both of them secured 481 marks out of total 500.

The second position in Arts stream has been secured by three students. Kashmiri Das of Barpeta Bidyapith HS School, Anwesha Kashyap of Golaghat Jatia Mahavidyalaya and Saima of Abdul Hasib HS School, Hojai. They secured 877 marks.

Seven students secured third position in Arts stream. Jasmita Goswami of Krishna Kanta Handique Junior College, Barpeta, Farhanur Rahman of Bogaigaon HS School (EM), Mayurika Deka of Ranjit Sarma

Academy Junior College, Darrang, Sangita Das of Pragmatic Academy Junior College, Kamrup(R), Poli Borah of Concept Junior College, Nagaon, Priyakhi Bora of Ramanujan Junior College, Nagaon and Moumita Konwar of R D Junior College, Tinsukia. All seven students secured 473 marks.

A total of 44 students are in the list of top 10 rank holders in the Arts stream.

Science Stream:

A total of 39,574 had appeared in the Science stream of which 16,928 secured first division. The Science stream recorded an overall pass percentage of 88.06%.

Abinash Kalita of Anundoram Barooah Academy, Barpeta secured the first position in the Science stream with 486 marks out of 500.

Nayeema Firdous Borbhuyan of Concept Junior College, Nagaon secured the second position with 482 marks and the third position has been secured by Preetpal Bezbaruah of Sai Vikash Junior College, Guwahati with 481 marks.

A total of 25 students secured the top 10 positions in the Science stream.

Commerce Stream:

A total of 17,713 had appeared in the Commerce stream of which 3,870 secured first division. The Commerce stream recorded an overall pass percentage of 88.18%.

The first position in Commerce is secured by Krishna Maheswari of Salt Brook Academy, Dibrugarh with 471 marks of a total 500.

The second position in Commerce has been secured by Harpreet Kaur of Sonari Junior College, Charaideo with 468 marks. Binita Saha of Ramanuj Gupta Junior College, Cachar secured third position with 466 marks.

A total of 23 students secured the top 10 positions in Commerce stream.

Vocational:

840 students appeared in the Vocational stream of which 222 secured first division. The pass percentage in the Vocational stream is 91.55%. (with input from guwahtitimes)
